I ordered a custom shift **** from knobmeister just as recommended by many on the forums and it finally came in!

Heres some pics, one of the stock and the rest is new

fyi: $53 shipped...so worth it!!!!

that's never been the case with OEM transmissions sold in the US...

what the hell ... even the JDM one I've seen here has the reverse where the 6th gear is, mine is the USDM CA version ...

I bought it brand new had all the plastic covering on the wheels and interior on the seats and it was sitting in the middle of the enclosed lot at the dealership

i just noticed in your (hard to read due to the sunlight) pic of the OEM shift **** that it appears Reverse is in the same location as your new shift ****.

The R3 in our local 8club's trans is like that. So was the brand new R3 I test drove last week, I didn't notice until I had to reverse and was like wtf? so yeah....it's normal.

I have a 2010 GT and my reverse is also up by 1st. Sweet **** by the way! I just ordered a Mazdaspeed CF and now that I saw yours and now I'm thinking twice about my purchase.LOL I just love how they have RX8 engraved in there as well!

haha thanks bro this **** that they have online is only advertised with the shift pattern engraved but I saw a shift **** in their gallery done for a RX-7 with the logo on top of the shift pattern so I asked Joe if he could do the same and BAM one sexy shift **** later! lol
