front speakers replacement

Hi all, by bose rear amp burned out and i want to replace my system, i bought a 4 ch amp, and connected to rear speakers and front tweeters, but front speakers don't work, i know series 2 bose system front speakers have their own amp, and i want to replace them with an aftermarket speakers and connect them to new amp.

im looking for new speakers but i really don't know wish speakers are good for my rx8, i know bose ones are 6x9, but i don't know what aftermarket speaker can be installed, is there any modification i have to make to make new speakers fit?
greetings

If I remember correctly the Bose fronts are 8". You won't really find any 8" speakers so the best option is to make or buy an adapter and get 6.5" or 6.75" speakers.

I was wrong they are 9". Anyway you can find a link to adapters and maybe directions on making your own in the Series I audio sticky.

Take a look at the Focal ISS 200's, they are a component set with an 8" and Tweeter. Those are my plan for replacing the system when I get around to it. Then put some Focal ISS 6x9's in the rear and a 10" sub in the trunk off a 5 channel amp.
