Center Console aluminium stripes

Forgive me but I thought I posted this question in a 'reply' on a prior thread last night in SII DIY or maybe it was SII interior but it seemed to vanish into cyber space.

Scanning other threads, I cannot find any one of them that shows a diagram / schematic for dismantling the Center Console in order to extract the long Nike slash aluminium stripes that run the entire length (not single pieces of course) of the tunnel inside the cabin. Since a grizzly bear previously owned my car they are seriously scratched up and need reprep & painting or the vinyl treatment somebody illustrated (the critical link lost in that thread however).

Anyone know where to find that kind of diagram please?

Thanks, Mike

The console comes out the same as a S1. I didn't search but I'm sure there are already posts about how to do it.

If you can't find any, let me know and I'll get some illustrations up. It's not hard to do. Basically unscrew the entire center console from the car and then those silver trims are screwed into the center console.

Use the s1 workshop manual as a reference.
It's just plastic anyway.

Is there a marketing partnership or product placement I've missed?

I refer to is as the buffet, more so referring to the whole center piece though.

The buffet and the Captain Morgan sword ebrake

Though i would have just called it the silver accent running along the side of the Buffet.

Mazdaspeed makes a cf replacement, but you'd have to be on crack to pay $560 for 2 pieces of plastic.
