I've got an '11 R3 wherein I'm trying to run a 12v signal to the trunk. I only want this power to be running when the car is on. I've read the 12v accessory plug in the console would do this, but I tested mine and it's constantly powered. I've read about a yellow/white and pink/black line that runs to the Bose Amp and tested them. They do only deliver power when the car is on, but they only push out 5-6v, which is insufficient. Does anyone know what's going on with my accessory outlet, or of another wire to tap?

Either would have sufficed. The intention is to turn on some lights and fans in the trunk, but only have them enabled when the audio equipment is running.
I did find a solution, and I'll leave the answer here in case somebody stumbles across this in the future. My 12v accessory plug in the console delivers a constant voltage. However, the cigarette outlet in the dash is 12v switched. I'll just have to run from the latter.

Gotcha, yea the cig lighter is a 12v switched line. Best bet is to just run from the kickpanel so that you can come right off the fuse.
