does this mean that you guys are able to tune also?
We do tune when using our Microtech Plug and Play or an Interceptor X. For street cars a good street tune is almost a necessity since real life conditions are hard to recreate on a dyno. We do have a dyno available to us for max power tuning but can usually street tune the car effectively saving the customer a bit of money.
We now offer installation of our products too
Let me know if you are interested in anything specific.
We follow a similar path to the S1. The only catch is the fact that the S2 only has 2 secondary injectors. For this we have increased the included injector size to 1200cc to compensate. The way the ECU is wired etc does require some changes but in the end, the system can/does work and is tuned in a similar fashion to the S1.
Your system can/will throw a CEL but it should operate properly. We are actually working on an alternate solution for the S2 for people that want a choice. We were just confirming that our turbo kit will/does bolt on to the S2 car.
Best regards,
Chris

Interesting. S2 kits here are also having issues with a CEL. Care to elaborate on which one in particular? One I have heard about is to do with to much air being seen across the MAF.
From what your saying you have "re-wired' the ecu in order to tune? Needing more details.
Thanks!
No, we keep the OEM ECU wired as it comes. What we do is very similar to what we do for the S1, just some things change because the S2 has some slight differences.
It sounds exciting!!
Definitely want to see some S2's plunging into this, so we all can see some numbers and get actually user feedback. I could see myself looking into this in the future, once people start installing and setting up their S2's.
Also the tuning part is what concerns me. Where or who is qualified to tune this Microtech ECU in the US. I live in Bay Area, Cali and I dont know where I would go to fine tune this system, if I got one. I definitely would want it fine tuned for reliability and power.
Honestly, we are going to need some more info than a brief abstract description. The reason for this is because you're the first to bring this out and at least one of the first to say that they have overcome the engine management situation.
Need more input Johnny5
Thank you Sir! We do appreciate this, honest.

Sounds Hot though!!
Don't worry about the tuning part of it. Just crash the rx7club.com site for a lead on an experienced microtech tuner near you. The microtech platform has been around for quite a few years and has a very established and experienced core of tuners. it is my preferred system for its simplicity, reliability, and capabilities.
I just mentioned in another Esmeril related thread. I think all that needs to happen is for a willing and trusting soul to allow their car to be the "lab rat" for the tuning portion.
No doubt that if Chris had his hands on a S2 for long enough, He and his crew could develop a legitimate tuning method for all S2 people.
