I know this is a stretch... But i want to hear your guys' creative ideas on how to make my car the best looking and best sounding car it can be. Anyone please comment and participate i'm looking for anyone who can provide some suggestions on either a front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper, or all of them. Or anything: Hoods, grilles, etc...But the catch is i am on a huge budget for right now and only have a price range of $1,000 - $1,500 max i can spend on exterior body parts. If you do provide suggestions a link with the product will be greatly appreciated. Also, along with body parts, i am interested in a new exhaust system. I am very fond of the Agency Power catback system, but am willing to hear suggestions from fellow rx8 owners on either a cheaper and just as good system or just a plain better exhaust.

Well 1500 wont get you very far in cosmetics sadly. Lower the car and changing wheels probably is the cleanest best starting point. Most people on here are not too fond of the ap midpipe and catback. I however love it (loud, raspy, ricey). The midpipe is what will make your car loud and getting rid of the catalytic converter will contribute toward the longevity of your motor, though only advisable if you have no e-check. Most body (fender, bumper, hood, etc.) cosmetic mods will run you half of that price for an item/set of items.
You should probably follow your own sense of style with these things. If you try and take everyone's advice, you will likely end up with an ugly hodge-podge. Do what you think looks good because its your car. If executed well, no one will fault you for "doing you".

IMHO leave it stock (beautiful cars stock) and spend the money on car care products / new exhaust pipe. You could maybe get a cheap/crappy ebay body kit that wont fit right for 1500. plus paint or a CF hood
I'm with sonic on this one, aside from trying to get the R3 skirts, and other R3/Mazdaspeed tidbits, I'd leave it stock. Those cheap *** body kits never fit right, and even if they magically do fit, chances are that their "universal" lines won't actually go with the lines of the car.
Thanks for the help guys. This was really just to see if there were any options to get cheap parts to improve the car cosmetically or mechanically. Hard to find stuff genuine from not over seas. But thanks again for the help really appreciate it.
Can anyone shed light on the difference in measurement for 2004 rx8 hood vs a 2011 rx8 hood. I am in the market to purchase a new hood and it seems like the series I rx8's have more options than the series II. Is there actually a difference and would a 2004 one fit on my 2011 mazda? If so is there any other parts like the hood that is labeled only for series I but can fit series II?
The front of the RX8 always bothered me a little bit, it's not ugly but it's not great looking either IMO. I wanted to get a front kit that wasn't super flashy/rice but also improved on the look. I settled on the Auto Exe SE03C after reading online praise over its fitting and I can attest it fits very very well. If you ever decide you want to pull the trigger, you really need to get yourself a high quality bumper like this one. Those cheap duraflex mazdaspeed-clone ones will look terrible and don't fit well.
Problem is it's very hard to get S2 high quality bumpers within the US, and the ones that are available will have a markup for the cost to get them over here. You can expect to pay upwards of a 1000 bucks after all is said and done for a bumper (and that won't include the paint and installation of course).
Of course if you go for a front bumper you need skirts and probably should lower your car too. My R3 skirts were pretty expensive. I did order them through the dealer but if you get the skirts you'll basically run out of remaining budget quickly.
I used Tein S Tech springs to lower, overall the front dropped about an inch or so and the rear dropped a bit over half an inch. Nothing crazy, pulls the look together while still giving me some peace of mind on the street.
