Wanting to replace 2010 Fenders

Hi!
I have a 2010 sport rx8 and really much prefer the fenders and bumper covers of the previous years versions.
Is there any reason I couldn't just switch them out? Would they fit? I imagine I would try to find used on Craigslist

Thanks!

I feel kind of like a dweeb not asking for aftermarket body kits! lol :D

Sure you can replace them. You will need a new front bumper and headlights too though. Otherwise a very very very good bodyshop and a lot of money may be another solution.

If you are serious then I would look for a S1 owner that wants to convert to S2 and then you guys can swap parts. It would save both of you a lot of money.

9krpmrx8 could be an option. He lives in SA and has mentioned converting to S2.

OK...I will give this one a go...

Why go back-wards on a 2010 RX-8 with parts that could be years old is beyond me...anyway...in reverse it can be done, Mazda Australia Motorsport updated their Series 1 with S2 front Fenders and Series 2 stuff...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Anyway...try these..

Radiator Support Panel changed in S2's, I believe for Headlamp fixing and Condenser positioning, also condenser brackets on RSP changed.
Both Fenders..
Both Headlamps..
Grille
Front Bumper Cover.
Bumper Foam Fillers.
Lower Nose Panel bits.
Bumper Bar Reinforcement Inner Bar which bolts onto Chassis Rails changed.
'Mazda' nose Badge.
Front Fender Corner Indicators
Fender Skrates.
Plastic Seal Plate around Hood Lock
Fog Lamps and parts
Oil Coolers
Inner Fender Liners and Oil Cooler Plastic Liners.

Thanks! That just happens to be the body I fell in love with.
Turns out I don't like the front bumper cover though, or is that what the I would need new front bumper comment was for? The s1 fenders wouldn't fit with s2 front bumper?

I doubt this will happen anytime soon. Something to chew on

S1 Fenders have a cut out for front corner flasher lights, S2's don't, plus I am pretty sure the profile of Headlamps has altered around the top of Fenders....so you will also have an alignment issue with Headlamps to Front Bumper Cover....Frankly unless you replace almost all parts I have listed it will be a patch up job, with lots of bog (fiber glass or body filler)...messy.??

EDIT: S1 Headlamps are slightly smaller in overall size/shape to S2.
