S2 emblems
Hello,
does anyone know how to remove the Mazda front and back emblem - i plan on painting them black. I have managed to remove the rx8 and mazda lettering at the rear with the aid of dental floss but cant seem to get the two mazda emblems. does anyone know if the s2 has any variations over the s1 badges?

in the rear it is taped and has 2 guide pins.
best way to remove it is to get it warm with a hair dryer and then use strong fishing line and cut it with the line.
but u will have 2 small holes in the trunk and front cover afterwards

Rear Trunk/Boot Lid..
Mazda is held on with 3 push on style pins with small black grip lugs.
RX-8 is all stick on, needs heat to remove/apply.
M badge is stick on with 2 locating pins.
Front..
M badge is stick on with 2 locating pins and 2 speed nuts underneath bumper nose cover.

thanks ash
does that mean that in order to remove the M badge at the front I would need to take the bumper off to get the 2 speed nuts?
maybe using plastidip on the car would be alot easier - although the weather here is pretty rubbish most of the time and my garage is too small to get the car in. job for next summer maybe.

All of the Badges except the rear MAZDA (Deleted from ALL 2010MY) one has peel off and stick tape all around the back of each Badge.
The front 'M' also with Sticking Tape and two Speed Nuts, well, you could try and break it off (the lugs off) ,but will probably damage or break the badge at it's weakest point, then just re-stick it on with some fresh double sided tape...
But yes, as I see it unless you have very small hands and thin forearms I cant see how you can remove the speed nuts without removing the bumper cover??
Someone may have done it, while the Series 1 is not the same badge the principal and location of fixing it is the same.
