Lightbulb Mazda Part Number Help and Information..here...

Mazda OEM Spare Parts information is available here... in the form for Genuine MAZDA Part Numbers and or Diagrams Pictures showing Mazda Spare Parts pertaining to that area of your inquiry.

Whatever Series RX-8 you own..or any other Mazda

A "Parts Diagram" is also available to help if you are reassembling something you have dismantled and or are not sure how it all goes back.

I can now "search and interpret" all Mazda models for the USA, Canada, Australian, and UK/Europe markets..

To ensure 101% accuracy please post your VIN Number, or post what your Spare Part request is here in this thread or
separately PM me your VIN Number if you do not want to disclose VIN # here in this thread.

The VIN # is usually located on your cars Bulk Head or Fire Wall or Drivers Door Jam or in the front pages of your Service Handbook.

Depending on your Region (country) it will look like the following EXAMPLES..

JM1FE1C45A0404332 (North America or Canada)
JM0FE103290301052(Australia)
JMZSE103180200332 (Europe)
JM6FE103110100332 (General Market)
JM7FE103100100332 (General Market)

With your VIN number you and I can be 100% sure of the correct Paint Color or Trim Combination or Transmission and or features
..like Stereo's, with or without Spoiler or Sunroof or correct Suspension or Brake details , etc, etc

Please keep in mind that I am in Australia and there could be a slight delay, however I try to check out the club site daily.

BTW:::The Side (Left Hand or Right Hand Side) of any car (either Left- LHD or Right Hand Drive - RHD)
is determined as you sit in your car, left is left, right is right.
NOT as you are looking at your car from the outside.

************************************************** ***************************************

MAZDA Paint and Colour CODES used for actual Car Painting Codes and on the END of MAZDA Part Numbers.

Use Codes below where the external new PART is PAINTED from Mazda Factory to the Cars Original Colour and to OEM Part.

NOTE: THE CARS PAINT COLOUR CODE AND THE PART NUMBER COLOUR CODES ARE NOT THE SAME FORMAT:

2 Number/Letter Combo Code for Part Number use which is added to the end of the Part Number.

The 3 Number/Letter Combo Code for the Cars Paintwork Code ONLY, and listed below for a cross reference.

Basically you add the 2 digit PN Colour Code onto the END of the Genuine Mazda Part Number you require.

LIKE Below (3 real examples of the exact same Part and Part Number just 'a' different painted colour and code).

F197-51-P40A–12 Mold Side Step STORMY BLUE (Cars Paint Code is 35J)
F197-51-P40A–87 Mold Side Step VELOCITY RED (27A)
F197-51-P40A–PZ Mold Side Step BRILLIANT BLACK (A3F)

ALL the COLOUR CODE LISTINGS Below are for ALL SERIES RX-8s.

Part Number CODE.... Name of COLOUR....Car Paintwork CODE.

01 Titanium Gray 29Y
12 Stormy Blue 35J
16 Sparkling Black 35N
50 Aluminum Metallic 38P
59 Diamond Gray 38E
64 Snowflake White Pearl 25D
67 Sunlight Silver 22V
71 Marble White A5M
74 Copper Red 32V
80 Phantom Blue 32C
85 Crystal-White Pearl 34K
86 Metropolitan Gray 36C
87 Velocity Red 27A
88 Radiant Ebony 28W
91 Galaxy Gray 32S
93 Lightning Yellow A4J
94 Winning Blue 27B

************************************************** ***************************************

SO WHAT DO I NEED FROM YOU..

1.VIN NUMBER..and Year of RX-8...
2.THE 'PART' YOU REQUIRE AND sometimes IT'S LOCATION... IS IT ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE OF CAR?...'see above in RED'
3.A REPLY FROM YOU FOR ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THE PART INFO YOU WANT FROM ME...

TO TRY AND KEEP THIS THREAD CONCISE WITHOUT UNRELATED COMMENT IF YOU WISH TO 'SUBSCRIBE' USE THE
"Thread Tools" LOCATED ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THIS THREAD..Please.

I recommend purchasing your OEM parts from RX-8 Club forum Vendors like Mazmart and or our forum on-line Advertisers.

PLEASE BE AWARE: DO NOT REQUEST HELP OR PART NUMBERS IF THE INFO IS ALREADY
COLLATED WITHIN THIS THREAD.... SO READ IT BEFORE YOU MAKE CONTACT WITH ME

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

THE USE OF NON GENUINE MAZDA PARTS...

Please be very careful on what renewable and non genuine replacement car Parts you install or have installed in your Mazda.

40+ years ago I used to think that I could not see much or any difference between genuine and cloned or replicated new parts, or the so called better engineered 'performance' or copied Mazda Parts as being a money saver for car owners as they were a 1/4 of the price than from a new car Mazda Dealer 'Spare Parts Department".

Well a WARNING, most are not better, in fact they are inferior and poorly made where you can not see The inside. And or down right dangerous.

A few recent reminders...

1. eBay RX-8 Ignition Coils (for Spark Plugs) while they look 99.5% OEM and original, they simply are not, they are inferior and a cheap knock off which will not last and in actual fact puts your CAT and Engines reliability at risk, many of these cheap Coils last only a few hundred miles.

2. Cloned 'Clock Springs', these are a multi-tasking module directly behind your Steering Wheel, it's purpose is for electrical supply to Steering Wheel push buttons, audio, indicators and most importantly Air Bag power supply and ignition in case of deployment.
Currently in 2015 Toyota Australia are trying to locate many of these installed cheap knock offs and will sue those sellers who are putting Toyota's reputation at risk and also severely compromising the safety of the owner driver.

It is just not worth the risk to you, your family or other road users.

Ash

R3 bumper and sides mazda #?

Hey does anyone know the mazda part number for the R3 front bumper and side skirts, i've tried searching and cant come up with a number, the reason why i'm asking is because I've phoned 3 mazda dealers and and they all say they need the vin number, 2 of them didn't even know what a R3 rx8 was and the 1 that remotely kinda knew what it was said there was 26 different options I am wanting to put the front and sides on my 09 GT thats why i'm asking. Thanks

Ash, I'm looking for the part number for the trim peice that covers the access to the parking brake adjustment nut. Don't know if it comes in different colors but I need black. For a visual, on a US model, it is the part that is in the forward right corner of the cup warmer.

Some how, during my upgrade, I lost the part. It probably got swept up by accident.

R3 Fog Lamp Assembly

So the fog light lense on the right side is cracked open from a rock, and i was looking at mazda-parts.com for a replacement. But I've noticed they have 2 options for it, being the same price for 290.xx, with one having the description LAMP(R)-F.FOG - 2009, and the other 2009-11. Is there any difference? which one should i buy?

They are not cheap...

Only available (from Mazda) as a complete assembly, this is the Lid which includes the storage pocket (box) behind the Lid.

F151-64-50XA-02 Lid Box Storage. ($118.00 USD)

2006 rx8 mt. (vin number redacted). I'm looking for the plastic piece inside the driver's side door that the exterior door handle uses as a pivot to open the door when the handle is pulled. That's the best way I can think to describe it. I think there is a spring attached to this piece somehow but I'm not sure since mine broke and the spring fell off. Here is a picture of the broken piece:

Here is another angle. The broken piece is on the right. You can see a part of it dangling off. The metal thing on the left is the lock cylinder:

Thanks! I'm also wondering about the part number of the white plastic circular clips used to hold the door panel on. I broke a couple of those getting into the door to snap those pictures.

First..FULL MARKS M8 for supplying your full VIN #..it helps me so much...
And of absolutely no use to anyone else.

Your Door Trim Clips # GJ6A-68-AB1 $0.90 cents each.

Now the pics, again, thanks.....

ANYTHING to do with the outer Door Handle is part of the Door Handle.
Your Galaxy Gray Handle for Left Side is # GJ6A-59-410N-91
It has been slightly modified and improved, new for $50.00

*snip*
Is there a part number somewhere for a pre-painted bumper, like japanparts has here? I see that V4-919 seems to include everything I'd need for the R3 style bumper....however, that's much, much shorter of a number than any part number. Thanks ASH8!

Nope...that is something offered in Japan only...

In this case Distributors (outside of Japan) do not import these 'assemblies' or kits, mainly because of the numbers (quantities) involved..the Japan Parts one converts to $915+ shipping ($1000+ at a guess (cubic size)).

The 'V4' Part Number says this is a factory "Accessory Kit" (also in the RX-8 Accessory PDF), for Japan Only for reasons stated above.

Be careful about JP, they are a good company, but many of their web prices are also old ones.

F1Y7-50-03XBBB Front Bar Cover 'Primed ONLY' R3 (no headlight washers).
F1Y9-50-03XBBB Front Bar Cover 'Primed ONLY' not R3 (NHW)

Plus, now the car (RX-8) is out of production these Kits will not be re-stocked, so once sold out, you then go to separate individual OE parts.

I had a feeling that would be the case....sounds like I'll need to jump on buying a pre-painted one, if I really want to get it that way. Thank you for your help, though, ASH.

*edit* I did find these part no's in an online EPC system and the accessory catalog, however....how do they show up for you?
