2009 RX-8 Rear Deflector

Anyone knows what is this called ? Someone replied earlier in another thread, it's called Rear Deflector? Anyone knows the part # ? The picture is from passenger side, rear right wheel.

I believe your right, Mazda calls them deflectors in the parts computer. I called them middle splash guards?

What color did you need? I have some white ones for sale for ever. The part numbers are listed in this thread.

I need sparkling black mica, actually. Just the left one, if you sell them separately and not in pairs.

I hit something in the highway in the rain and didn't realize it until yesterday that it took my left rear deflector and scratched the body paint. Grrrrrrrr.

How much are these things ?

probably expensive, rux. I know it's expensive as hell for anything OEM from the dealer.

Im waiting on my ebay shipment. I figured it'd be worth while to get all three - wiring, workshop and service highlights. I figure it'll be hard to get for our cars soon.

I've never compared the differences between Sparkling Black Mica to Brilliant Black but here's some Brilliant Black R3 side skirts for sale instead:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/09-R3...#ht_540wt_1150

It would be a nice upgrade for someone.

haha i saw those last night and was thinking the same myself, but the SBM has a hint of cocoa-esque in the color while the black is a standard obsidian black

Will the R3 side skirts fit non-R3 though ? I don't mind waiting for the SBM color, I don't need to fix this now, it's just annoying to look at the car at that particular spot.

Of course! But you will have to drill holes for the clips or come up with a different solution to mount it. Just be aware that they are expensive new from the dealership. The MSRP is higher than the Mazdaspeed ones.
