i bet if teamrx8 had an s2, we'd see an s2 accessport.
LOL. If MM can't make it happen with his sales record no way would I have any better luck. I offered to buy one and submit it to them for the beta back in 2008 and they didn't take the offer. I suspect the AP sales for the S1 didn't meet their expectations. Given the low S2 vehicle sales then MMs last reply is no surprise.
Glad I didn't make the mistake of buying one myself now

what a crock of BS that is, wow. The ROI for a product like this should not even be a factor. The exact same materials that were used for S1 AP should be used for S2 (no cost for new materials). Besides coding ONE TIME what other investment do they need to do for a S2? Raise the price if thats an issue, people will still buy it if it was $1000.
I'm sure Cobb did their homework before deciding to pull the plug on the S2 AP. The ecomony isn't great for small companies to spend money on RandD for something they could hope to break even with at best.
The S2 has a completely different PCM.
The investment to bring an S2 model to market would be similar, if not exactly, the same as it was on the S1, which I'm sure was tens of thousands of dollars if not more (not including the v2.0 hardware at all).
They would have to sell several hundred units just to break even and considering that they have only sold 500 or less for the S1 version and the S2 model RX-8 comprises a fraction of a percent of the S1's market size, it just isn't a wise investment, even for a company that is awash in cash.
