RX-8 R3 Mods

Suppose you were purchasing a R3 and were NOT a modder. What parts would you change without waiting for them to cause problems or break? The clutch pedal, from another thread on R3s, seems to be a prime candidate, but are there any other weak links that should be replaced immediately?

Its not the clutch pedal exactly its the bracket for it. You can either buy a pre strengthened bracket from one of the people on here, I think charles hill and whatever company he has, or you can take yours off and get it welded somewhere locally. Theres a big thread on this somewhere that shows the bracket before and after which should help the shop understand where it needs to be welded.

I think thats something that needs to be done even if your not gonna mod and as soon as you can get it done. Most people that had the bracket fail were at 40k+ miles but I would rather be safe than sorry and end up in a big wreck because your bracket failed when you were on the highway.
