Magnaflows are for muscle cars. Even though they're made for all kinds of Japanese Sports cars, they have and will always be built for muscle cars. I recommend Racing Beat's exhaust for two reasons: 1. They are always ahead ofthe game on RX-8's. 2. You know for a fact that it fits.

Just my .02...

i have an magnaflow--the one that cost $900, not the cheap slip on-- in my 2006 rx8. In my opinion it sounds better than the RB for it has a more throaty deeper sound.

CA

I also have magnaflow exhaust system for my 04 Rx8 GT. I love the sound, very deep sounding and has backfire @ high revs (pop sound). My engine sounds like a V8, not like a whinny rice rocket. I'll post a video later tomorrow with my exhaust, lol been meaning too since i got it 3 days ago.

No, I bought mine 2 weeks ago, still trying to decide on a custom one or Racing Beat...

My point exactly...The rotary Engine is meant to sound that way, it's the sound of the actual engine, not the sound of some baffels and stuffing to make your engine "sound like" anything...

Next thing you know, I'll see an RX-8 with these.

Again, just my .02.

A WHISTLE...SERIOUSLY?

that aside, the sound of my exhaust is very thrilling when you go under a bridge or tunnel and accelerate hard above 5000rpms all the way to red line. it still sounds like a rotary under normal driving conditions.

That's honestly not too bad, different than what I thought it would be...still, I like a little more rasp in the tone.

What exhaust makes the Bon Jovi sound, though...I gotta avoid that! haha

It's not bad, but you must be joking if you think that sounds like a V8. It's still very recognizable as being a rotary, though it's still not what I'd like... I went with the HKS single and it's very much like a rotary... and loud. And backfires a lot.

Junirol - thanks a lot, man. I think it does sound deep and throaty - the way I like it

How is the fitting? Does the tips touch the bumper? How big are the tips compared to stock?

it is stainless steel, correct?

Thanks, man.

Yea its stainless steel, and tips don't touch bumper or anything. Tips just gets dirty after 4 days. Going to get a mid pipe made with a magnaflow cat, wonder how its gonna sound like without a resonator and RB headers..
