rim advice and opinions
hey there guys, i just recently bought an 07 rx8 in nordic green.
I am considering getting the AVID.1 AV06 18x9.5 in bronze,
here is the URL to a photo of the rims
AVID.1 AV06 BRONZE Wheels - Buy AVID.1 Wheels Online at Victoria Tire & Wheel
will these rims require any rolling at all? and does any one have any good website suggestions to purchase rims?
other rim suggestions welcomed!!
thanks!

the offset on the avid.1 AV06 is +24mm, and im not sure of what size tires would be best to run for a good fit for the rim and my car... (not into streching)
and for the mean time i plan on just running stock height

J, I was reading the thread in your signature, and I have a few questions:
1) I will be using the stock wheels, and dropping the car 1" to 1.25" on coilovers you mention using an offset of +30 to +50 less 5mm for the inch drop. So the spacer would be +25 mm, correct?
2) I am using factory speck 225/45/18's however you state they could cause problems with their height, what do you recommend size wise? or will the fenders need to rolled?

Yes 25mm would work. 245/40 is the common choice. 225/45 May be ok though.
The problem tall tires could cause wouldn't be mitigated by a roll. There is a metal ridge behind the fender liner that will rub when turning.

Help with Volk TE37SL
hi all,
I have a 2009 rx8 R3. Looking to replace the stock rims with Volk Racing TE37SL.
Here are my requirements:
Ideally want to keep the size 19" rather than downsize to 18.
Want to run the widest possible tyre on the front and back with no rubbing.
Not looking to do negative camber, stretched tyres, etc. just a nice low fit with minimal wheel arch gap and usability on the street and track.
The car has adjustable coil overs and is running 20mm spacers front and back.
Can anyone recommend a rim and tyre size that will give me what I am after?
Thanks!

Function + Form
FYI: On S-tech/Stock Shocks, 18x9.5 +22 on 245/40 will rub in rear on bumps. Pokes a bit. +30 option is probably best option.
Edit: Unless of course you do an alignment and adjust camber accordingly.

Both of you, even the 17", will poke like that Subaru 9KRPMRX8 posted above. Idealy, with the 18 x 9.5, find an offset close to mine. With that in mind, tire size should be 245/45-18. A +10 offset will need serious work on both your suspensions and fenders. You want to go lower between +35 and +40.
