Too poor for HRE 547s
So I've been searching for summer wheels for my 8 (the stock wheels will then become "winter" wheels) and have fallen in LOVE with the HRE 547. Unfortunately, I don't have $6000 laying around to spend on this. Has anybody found something that LOOKS similar, but with out the hefty price tag?
If you're not familiar, here's a link to the wheels I'm refering to
http://store.yahoo.com/wheelsperformancecom/hre547.html
They need to be available in black, also. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

for some reason I see more incredible deals on HRE's than anything else. I think a nice set of 19's went for something like $2700 with tires a few months ago. still alot, but these are HRE's we're talkin about.
anyway..the split 5 spoke design is pretty common...my buddy has some on his e36 M3

he got them from www.edgeracing.com

I believe those are a set of older Axis on the e36 M. But like epitrochoid said, split 5 spoke are common:
-SSR GT1, forged lightweight
-SSR GT3s forged lightweight 3 piece
iForge makes replica of some HREs, but are fairly lightweight and good quality. Check out www.wheelboutique.com, they have good deals from time to time.

those wheels are actually made by Flik, which i believe is just a brand of a larger knockoff wheel manufacturer (like Rotas). ive only seen that brand for sale through edge racing, but i've seen the exact same wheel from other companies. theyre actually really decent wheels for the price, they look great and are about the same weight as OEM...not to mention strong, those wheels on the e36 have seen many curbs, and even survived a high speed slide into a gaurd rail.

I understand. I was thinking of the Axis Muse:
I think they were one of the first wheels that came out from Axis. Definitely see the similarities.
But back on topic:
wisconsinben - I'd check out iForge wheels if you want replicas, but I'd save my butt off and get the real deal. C'mon, your 8 deserves it! :p

EDIT: After checking iForged.com it seems that there isn't much of a price break for these "replicas." iForged wheels are still listed at $1000+ per wheel.
If I only have about 2Gs to spend...is it even worth buying wheels...or should I leave the stock ones on year round and deal with the hassle of swapping tires each season?
