TN Struts

Is it hard to install front struts on a 2005? Also does the rear shocks hard to install?

Not sure if it is because I am at work, or if the DNS expired again, but when I installed my coilovers Robin Yang's DIY's were fantastic:

Its only tedious the first time.... after the first time, you will be able to remove them in no time

Font is definitely worse than the rear, but it shouldn't take more than a couple hours the first time. You just have so much to remove in the front...

Where in TN are you?

You can check this page out, unfortunately it doesn't have pictures since it's an old archive.

This is the ARCHIVE

Robin Yang

Rears are harder than fronts because you need someone else to thread the bolts from inside the trunk while you are aligning them.

Be sure and mark the position of the HID sensor on the left? rear lower? control arm or your lights will be all crazy when you reassemble.

I also suggest the mazda workshop manual, which you should be able to search for on here.

But not that hard really.

The hard part was to removed seized bolt and nuts..

To be specific, I end up cutting the rear endlinks(driver and passenger side).
You need to loose the endlinks so u can move the sway bar further back.

The rear camber bolt(driver side) seized,so i end up removing the bolt of rear lateral arm.

I cut the front endlinks passenger side. You don't really need to loosen them. Its just to release some tension.
I need to replace mine trying to solve those clunking sound.

I suggest to have a sawzall handy and 2 rear endlinks.
And some extra hand is recommended.

Moved to Suspension forum.

This isn't a DIY as much as a request for help.

Rears are definitely easier for me atleast. Quick tip for anyone doing it, don't even bother touching the endlinks in the rear, just remove the sway bar brackets (4, 12MM nuts) and rotate the entire sway bar downwards. Saves time and makes life easier.
