I got my Rotas from wheeldude.com at the advise of tiltmode. They were great. I suggest you get in touch with them when you figure out that you are getting.

Yes wrong bolt pattern, you need 5 x 114.3.

You can figure it out as such:

Stock is 18x8 + 50. So due to the width you will be adding .75" ((9.5 - 8) / 2). Due to the offset difference you will also be adding 12mm (50 - 38) which equates to nearly 1/2" (12/25.4). Add these two together and you will be roughly 1-1/4" further out than stock.

I saw some good pics from 9krpm with stock wheels and a 1" spacer that looked about as wide as you can go without getting hella (which would require rolling, adding camber, stretching tires, etc) if you are lowered.

So it looks to me like this rim (if the bolt pattern was correct) might require some work if you are lowered. Stock height, I'm not sure, others here could give you better information on that.

I believe if he is going from an 8" rim to a 9 1/2" rim that is 1 and 1/2 inches right there. Now add in the extra 1/2" from the +38 offset and he is looking at a full two inches farther out than stock.

You are incorrect with your first part. It's 1/2 of the difference in width as half goes towards the fender and half goes towards the strut.
