Continental DW Opinions?

40th anniversary Edition
You are right, I apologize if i came into the thread solely about the DW. Yes the DW and DWS have different characteristics and uses. I have not used the DW, though I have used the Pilot Sports on past cars and they are super.

Well i suppose ill do some sort of review now that they're on. So far i cant say i'm very pleased. But not by the tire. I think because of the size i chose. I went with 245/40 instead of 225/45. For daily driving it feels sloppy. I don't have the stiff sidewall i had with the 225 and the car just feels like jelly if i do little weaves. On the other hand i do have more contact with the 245/40 since its wider and i can feel that. I can push it around turns harder and feel much more stable. All in all thou i will not see satisfaction until i do my first autocross event because pushing these tires is not something i want to do on public roads. So i guess this isn't really a tire review as much as it is size comparison. Once i do an autocross ill have a true review. Keep in mind i'm coming from shitty bald all season Goodyear tires. So take what i say with a grain of salt.

Exactly. You just replaced heat cycle hardened low tread tires with new full tread soft rubber tires. Of course they will feel different. Just start your turn in slightly earlier and ease into it gently. You can carry a lot of speed through the turns this way.
