Water Flowing Noise

Hi all,

Lately when I start my 8 I hear what sounds like water running through pipes. It happens again if I rev the engine a little. Then the sound stops until I let it sit for a while and turn it back on. Earlier today I saw a thread that said it may be air in the cooling system. I can't seem to find that thread again. Can anyone confirm that idea or give me a new one? Thanks.

Isn't it something like the oil leaving its reservoirs and dispersing itself throughout the various components it needs to go to? (Just curious)

Ok, Thanks. Still curious as to what exactly it is and how common it is.

Bubbles in the coolant lines. Flush it properly so there is no air in the system and the sound will go away, but it isn't going to cause any problems if you hear it. Mine does it too.

I'm pretty sure it is the coolant flowing back into the heater core after sitting.
