Are There Afermarket Clutch Rods (longer) Available?

I seem to have run into a unique issue from what I can gather through Google. I installed the Race Roots clutch reinforcement bracket after my stock bracket snapped - the usual place, the thin outer/upper portion by the hood latch cable.

After a long (cold) night of running back and forth from my stranded car to a workbench to work on the assembly and then back to put it back in, I got the car started and working. It shifted smoother than it ever has since I picked it up five years ago, but the shifts have deteriorated again and I'm having trouble even getting the car into first or reverse to get it moving. I adjusted the clutch rod as far out as I could get it to go tonight, which seems to have eased the issue but not entirely. I can't move it out any farther or it'll pop right out of the bracket attached to the pedal.

The assembly is already as far towards the firewall as the bracket will allow it to go. However, the pedal appears to be hovering about a half inch in front of the brake pedal (towards the driver), which I've read it should be even with.

tl;dr I'm curious if anyone makes extended clutch rods for our vehicles. I only need another half inch or so before it'll work flawlessly again. That, or an alternative way to move the clutch assembly farther back towards the firewall.

there may be another Mazda with a longer rod. however, i would pull the clutch pedal, and re-install it. as it is more likely not to have seated right, than it is to need a unique to you, longer pushrod.

You have something seriously messed up. In no way should you ever need a longer clutch rod, let alone one that is 1/2" longer. It just doesn't even make sense to ask for one rather than figure out was is wrong. The only way a longer clutch rod is needed is if either the pedal assembly or master cylinder is not installed properly, the clutch pedal is adjusted too close to the floor, or something is broken within all those parts.

Also, no where in the clutch pedal adjustment procedure is the clutch pedal position relative to the brake pedal height relevant.

I've never had to screw with a clutch pedal before. As far as I know my master cylinder is fine - the pedal is adjusted as far out from the floor as it will go, and it's still literally at the floor. I've had to resort to pushing the arm of the clutch pedal in to get it to disengage sometimes.

The pedal itself is broken, hence the reinforcement installation. However, RaceRoots says on its website that the assembly can be installed on broken units with no issues.

I read in another thread about a way to adjust the pedal stroke - https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...5/#post4594404 - perhaps I could do this instead?
