Tach Visability Problem When Sunlight Hits It
Hey guys... I am having a problem and was wondering if anyone can help me? When I am driving with all the windows down and the sunroof open and sunlight hits the tach, I can't see how fast I am going. Once the sunlight isn't hitting it, I can see it fine. Does anyone know what if there is some product that can fix this? I was thinking of something like one of those carbon fiber tach covers because they do extend a little farther than tach cover, and they also look cool. If anyone has any suggestions for this please let me know. Thanks.

Nope. I have it on the white display. It is only not able to be seen when sunlight hits it directly. I'm not sure if it is all the way to white, but it is pretty close. Thanks I will try that and see if it helps.

Go to the hardware store and get some screening material that they sell for fixing window screens. Get black, and heavy-duty if possible.
Cut it to the exact shape of the dial; maybe just a hair bigger. Press it in place. The heavy duty stuff has a bit of stiffness that will help hold it in place. Or you could even use a little bit of post-it type adhesive.
Each little square of the material will cast a tiny shadow and may give you enough contrast to see the dial. Sounds Ghetto, I know, but it's cheap and you might find it acceptable.

Some dealer will probably try and void his warranty for the mod. Suggestion #1 - get a hot chick in a bikini to ride shotgun and hold her hand above the instrument panel to block the sunlight. Suggestion #2 - move out of the Sunshine State to other parts of the country where sunlight is only a rumor.
