Haaalpppp.

Basically I'm waiting for my OEM airbox to get shipped to me and installed this thing in the meantime. Forgot to do something with this plug and my AC belt ate it. Now what..

That's the vfad connector not a real big deal. Here is a link read. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-...81/?styleid=17

I am about to reinstall the vfad along with all of the other stock airbox parts. What exactly did that one plug do?

It controls the operation of the vfad. If you are going to reinstall it, you'll need to repair that connector.

What would be the best way to get that plug back on? Considering that the plug is gone for good and I'm left with open wires.

You could just get a new connector and solder it on. At this point it's less trouble to just go without the vfad. You could also put some tabs on the wires and slide them into the solenoid if you're up for it, polarity shouldn't matter (and if it does doing it backwards won't hurt anything).
