Hello all, I have this faint screeching noise coming from the engine it seems like. It really sounds like the screeching noise that brakes make sometimes. Only happens on very light throttle and low rpm and goes away as rpm goes up.

Car is 06 with 60k miles with a Greddy catback.

where were you?

did you do anything to the car prior to it starting?

Can you be anymore specific about the noise?

Is it coming from the belts or under the car where the transmission is?

Sounds like its somewhere in the engine area, Although I do have a lot of clutch noise right now and I wonder if it can be related.

Yes I have searched, I think its been doing it since I got the car and nothing has been done to it. Just oil changes. It does it all the time with light throttle and cruising around 3k rpm, accelerating past 3k its gone.

Try some belt dressing on your two belts. Could be slipping.
