Unhappy rx8 key reset

need help with remote locking does not unlock or lock new battery fitted have been told to reset the key to the car,any one no how? or have any ideas

are you talking about keyless entry or the actual key?

actual key can unlock and start car with the key but not lock or unlock off the button the key battery i changed was still showing bthree volts but i changed it any way.

transmitter might be broken, call around to different locksmiths before going to the dealer the dealer is a total rip off, they wanted to charge me $100 to code a key I already had. I found a locksmith that would do it for 30.
