Unhappy Rx8 Ac problem

I bought my Rx8 about 7 months ago and for about 3 months I lived without AC. My AC always blew hot and after the three months I realiced that by pressing hard on the ac temp **** the ac would blow cold. I blows cold but often blows hot for 15min then cold again. My main problem is whn the ac blows cold it seems the compressor switches on and i get harsh bibration then it switches off and keeps doing this endless and i feel it most when idle at a stop light. Anyone out there has a solution for my ac problem i would really apreciate it thanks.

Have the system leak-tested and recharged as required.

Might want to try some searches on this too. Every time summer rolls around here in the US there is a string of posts that pop up on AC problems and issues. Various responses & suggestions to be investigated.

Sounds like your control unit is broken...common fault. Mine went...it wouldn't change from hot to cold consistantly..and it would only blow hot or full cold.

New one fixed the problem

If I change my controll unit do you think it will keep it from engaging the compressor on and off constanly during driving?

Just take it to your local auto shop (Sears, Firestone, etc). Most places have a AC checkup service that costs $20. They'll be able to tell you if you just need it charged or if something more serious is wrong. Too bad your warranty is up.
