Red light stall

ok first off the temp here in TX right now it around 40 degree.. i got in my car and the clutch pedal sank the floor like it had air in the lines... after 4 pumps it went back to normal.
I was going to work out at golds gym.. and at a redlight my car stalls out.. I start it back up and starts up right away. and it did not stall again.

drove back home it was perfectly fine.. no power loss.. its running extremely strong due to it being cold.

its a 2005 51K miles upgraded ignition and spark plugs recently changed 10 K miles ago.
has this happened to anyone?

You've somehow boiled the clutch fluid.

Have you ever driven an old u-haul truck down a long, steep hill - riding the brakes? Well, you'll find that by the bottom the brake pedal will sink right to the floor, and it will take several (panicked) pumps to bring back the brakes...

Now that the clutch fluid has boiled, you do have air in the lines. You'll need to bleed the clutch. Instructions here: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...51&postcount=6

You'll also need to find out why the fluid got so hot. Burnouts? Several high RPM launches?

If not that, then Mazda has a TSB out for similar symptoms of the clutch engagement point changing after a long time in bumper-to-bumper traffic. There is an updated slave cylinder. I've had mine changed for this problem. The TSB is here: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...4-06-1641a.pdf

As far as the stalling - I'd guess that the Engine computer got confused at the clutch pedal switch opening and closing frequently - with no change in load on the engine...

This sounds interesting but.. would this still apply if the temp outside was 40 degrees and the car was there sitting for almost 4 hours?
