Rearend Knock?

New here...did some searching but I couldn't find this topic covered. I apologize if it has been.

I bought a 2005 MT with 31K on it about a month ago. Over the past week I have noticed that when I put the car in gear and take off there is a slight knock from the rear of the vehicle. It only happens the first time I move the car after it has sat over night or at work all day. The knock occurs once and then disappears, if I stop at a light and take off no knock, just the first movement after sitting for awhile. Is this normal??

This started after the weather turned cold and rainy, but since I haven't had the car long maybe I am just noticing it now. This is my first rwd car so I'm not sure what is normal. Any advice would be appreciated.
