random missfire. help!!!

i have a 04 6 spd with 40k on it. sounds like only one rotar is firing, and the check engine light was flashing. scanned it and the code said random missfire. so i pulled the spark plugs, and they were nasty wet and full of carbon. So i soaked them in sea foam cleaned them up and put them back in. same problem. pulled them back out and the lead and trail plugs on the rear rotor were wet, and the front were dry. so i switched the plugs from the front rotor to the rear and tried again. same thing. my plugs are working, but the rear rotor is not firing. so i swaped the two coils for the rear rotor, and it started perfect. sounded good, reved good. i let it idle for a min, and then it took a **** again. only one rotor firing again. is this probably the coils? or is something internal wrong?

Buy some new coils from either www.finshlineperformance.com or www.waynemazdafactoryparts.com. I would buy 4 coils and replace all of them at the same time. Also buy some new plugs from www.autopartswarehouse.com. And finally buy some new spark plug wires. DO NOT GET NOLOGY HOTWIRES. Charles R. Hill has some good wires or get out racing beat. Or just get BHR's ignition kit. The oem is weak and the oem coils burn out quick. And if something is wrong with your engine dont worry you will get a new one for free

Hey man, easiest thing for you to do is have towed to the dealership. You are well with in warranty, just have them work it instead of throwing parts and your own money into it. Use the warranty while you have it, Mazda sucks ***** once you're out of it.

yeah if u are still under bumper to bumper warranty take it to the dealership instead of spending your own money but if u are out of warranty try BHR.
