Smile Question about the Nav system

Hello everyone -

It's been a lost time since I posted, sorry about that. I have a 2005 RX-8 red 6-speed manual, bought new. I now have 16,000 miles on the car and I am very happy with it - I've taken it on two cross-country trips from Arizona to Rhode Island and back. Reading some of the posts, I'm surprised at how many problems some folks have experienced. I averaged a steady 23 mpg on both trips with the cruise control set at 74 mph (that takes a LOT of will power!), plus it's used almost no oil - I had an oil change just before the trip in June, then one at a dealership in Newport, Rhode Island. I check the oil regularly and only needed to add some on one occasion, about a half-quart during a stop in Amarillo, Texas.
Overall I love the car, beyond a doubt the BEST handling-car I have ever owned - and I've gotten nothing but praise about its looks from people aged 8 to 80 - with a few cops included.

I do have a question about the navigation system though. While returning home to Arizona, on two separate occasions the system was unable to locate the hotels I had programmed in for the coming night's stay. It turned out that both hotels were in newly built-up areas, in other words, new streets, etc.

So, logically I figure that what I need is a new CD from 2007 - is there one available? I haven't asked my local dealership yet because some of their costs seem to be aimed at ripping people off. Does anyone have any knowledge about this, I'd sure appreciate some feedback - thank you!

The dealer can order it for you. Or, you can buy it directly from Navteq.

Here's the link:

From what I've read on this club site, the dvd IS copy protected. So, there is no way to duplicate it.

I still have the old dvd in my car also.
