My car sits for days sometimes and when I get in it, start it up and reach for the window buttons, the buttons do nothing. After a couple of seconds and a couple tries they work and all is well. This has been going on all year and I am at 48K on the odometer. I have had it to a dealer and they explain that they can not duplicate the issues, so there is no fix.

Today, after the car had been sitting for 5 days the same happened, no windows Downy, Uppy! It is different this time, now I am not able to get the driverside window to go down all day.

Has anyone experienced this issue? I did a search and found nothing. I intend on traveling to a dealer, however I would rather understand the problem before I make the 50 mile happy run. Help is greatly appreciated. It is a 2005 that I bought new and have had no electrical issues with until now.

I had this issue after my alternator overcharged and i had to replace the switch and everything worked perfect after that. I'm assuming you have checked the fuses right?

put up a WTB: thread in the for sale section, I'm sure someone has a switch.
