Please Help NAVIgation has gone sketchy!!

Okay folks here is the problem. I did the DIY Heat fix about an hour ago. everything went smoothly the heat works now. I button everything back up and hit the Nav open button and the nav screen pops up but it appeared to go al the way back and then come forward a little bit about a quarter to an half inch (never did that before). I wait for the screen to come on and I got nothing. I started opening and closing the screen and eventually it came on. I stayed outside and kept messing with screen and basically I have a screen that is coming on when it feels like it now. Can saomebody tell what is going on with the nav system and is this something that I can fix?

Try taking the disk out of the player in the back console and then putting it back in. One time I was driving and ended up hitting a pothole and my screen blacked out, then a box showed up on it saying it couldn't find the disk, or that the disk was damaged. Then the screen stayed blacked out. When I got to where I was going I took the disk out, put it back in, and then tried again. The navigation started working just fine again. Apparently it has been jarred out of position from the bump (not sure how/why) but it was "skipping" or something similar. It needed resetting I guess. Have you tried that yet?

I did try that and it didn't work. I have spent the rest of the day paying attention to the nave screen and when the navigation comes on and when it doesn't. What I have found is that when nav open button is push the screen may or may not open all the way. When it opens all the way it comes on. When it opens up and then resets like I noted in my first post the screen does not come on. If I put my hand up hold the screen in the completely open position it comes on. I am thinking that the somehow the screen is out of alignment. I don't know if I should dismantle things to see if I can get it back into alignment or not,

Yeah. It sounds like it's not tracking properly. I don't know that I would take it apart or not, though. I'm not sure how all the wiring and such are connected back there with the unit. I have my navigation set so that it just opens and closes by itself when the car is turned on and off instead of me having to push the button.
