Where does this go?

This fell out my dash when I removed the glove box to check my filters.

when you removed the glovebox?
does your glovebox go down slowly now like before or just drop down?
I think this might be the thing that keeps the glovebox from going down to quickly when you open it.

You are correct. If I recall, it hangs out on the right side of the glovebox.

The glove box always just fell down when opened, sorry only had the car for about a week so.... yea... thought that was normal and thought the part was for something with the a/c.

That is the glove box shock absorber. Just open the glove box and pop it back in. Youll see the little spot for it, should be reasonably obvious
