Loosing Coolant through Overflow.

I've tried searching it, and I can't quite pinpoint my situation.

Anyhoozle, today after I drove my car to a friends house, I noticed a puddle of coolant under my car coming from right around where the hose from my overflow is. Also, my coolant light has been coming on when the car is still, as soon as I start moving again, it turns off within seconds? What could that be?

I figured maybe I have air in my system and it's making the coolant boil and come out? My car doesn't overheat at all, so I'm a little confused...

You really think it's something that simple? I'm also gonna flush/bleed my coolant for safe measure.

change the coolant cap problem fixed. i had the same problem espcially b/c of the hot weather weve had lately above 95 degrees. dont run your car to hard during the heat. also change your ignition coils.

I have searched! haha I just couldn't find anything with my exact characterisitics. :[

But okay, I'll change the overflow! And I'm planning on doing a whole ignition overhaul soon. So plugs/wires/coils will be covered.

Oh and yeah, I live in GA and the heat here isn't very forgiving.

Some of you guys may not like Team's responses, but he is correct.
While the cap is a possible cause, there are other items to consider.
So instead of throwing random parts at the car, try to troubleshoot it down some (which is what Team is ultimately trying to say).

Are we sure the water isn't actually boiling from excessive heat?
Are the fans kicking on when they should?
Is the thermostat sticking or not fully opening?
Is the water pump seized?
Has the coolant recently been flushed?
If the OP isn't able to check these, maybe help him or see if there are locals nearby that could assist.

My temp gauge shows no overheating whatsoever. It stays put at right before the middle mark. What I have noticed is that sometimes one of my fans just cuts on and off. Like it'll come on for 30 secs, go off, come back on for 30 secs etc. But that only happens when my A/C is on I'm pretty sure, so I just ruled that out to the 8's stupid A/C system. And I was planning on flushing my coolant tomorrow. Also, if I do need a new rad cap, what psi cap should I get? .9kg?

^ There is no temp 'gauge', rather think of it like a 'cold', 'ok,' or 'too hot' light. Could be many reasons why the overflow is happenning to you... so I won't venture any opinions. However I will say that when this happened to me ... next thing I knew I was getting my engine replaced.

IOW "When strange things happen with your car, good things aren't likely to come of it."

Service manual says 10.63 - 14.98 psi.
But caps usually say right on top.

My engine shows no obvious signs of over heating to my knowledge. Original motor with ~140k miles runs strong, has never stalled, had a CEL, etc. So before I jump to horrific conclusions, I'll be changing my rad cap and flushing the system
