Why is it that no matter what I try, the little light next to the glove box always lights up saying "Pass Air Bag Off"??? I usually always have a passenger when going out to lunch in my car, yet, the light always comes on and freaks out anyone sitting in my car knowing their air bag won't go off...Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. I tried doing everything in the manual too.

No, It's just that the little light comes on next to the glovebox and stays on for a few seconds and then goes off. Nothing on the dash comes up as far as I've seen. Might have to go to the dealer...

It's supposed to do that. It's part of the start-up self-test sequence. Goes on for a few seconds, then off. See pages 2-38 through 2-41 of the '06 owners manual.

For fun, put an object that weighs 30-40 pounds on the passenger seat. The light will come on and stay on. I put my computer bag on the passenger seat. If the bag is really loaded, the light comes on. I regard that as a "Are you stupid bringing all that work home with you?" warning.
