Thumbs up P0031 and P0032 codes

Okey so I have a cel and the codes are P0031 and P0032
I read on the forum that those are for oxygen sensor but front or back or both ????
The car have 34k miles and bought it new january 2006 so its 4 years and 4 months I have extended 5 years warranty with $200 deductible. Now the question is it covered by powertrain warranty or extanded ??I would rather have it coverd by the regular warranty I dont want to pay 200$. Why the sensor fail ????
And is it possible that overfill a lot the oil in the car (stupid mazda dealer)can damaged or make the sensor dirty ?? I read one of the treads the member clean the sensor and it was good.

Thanks for help

o2 sensor is a wear item and not covered under any regular warranty.

there are about a dozen different reasons n 02 sensor would fail including being hit by road debris. contamination of the sensor can cause failure so it would be good to pull it and see if cleaning helps.

The front is before the cat and the rear plugs into the cat.

P0031

I got a p0031 last night after I started my cat while I was out, code wasn't there before but when I was leaving it suddenly appeared. I like the suggestion of removing it and cleaning it but is there a certain process for removal? Do I need to disconnect my battery?
