I thought it would be helpful to all if we could describe the noises that come from our beloved 8's in one thread. We should describe what the noise sounds like, where it comes from, when it happens, and the probable cause. Also, post any TSB information. I'll start:

"Clunk / thump ; like metal twanging against another piece of metal"
Happens after start up shortly after putting it in gear.
Hard to tell exactly where it comes from


Diagnosis: Normal. It's the ABS testing itself
