No Starts

[FONT=Century Gothic]I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY RX 8. I HAVE HAD IT PARKED FOR 3 MONTHS AND I HAVE NOT STARTED IT SINCE. NOW WHEN I HAVE TRIED TO START IT THE ENGINE DOES NOT TURN. IT SEEMS THAT IT HAS SOME KIND OF ALARM OR IMMOBILISER TRYING TO START IT . DO YOU KNOW ANY WAY I CAN START IT? ALSO WHEN I TURN THE INGNITION ON, THERE IS A LIGHT WITH A KEY ON THE DASHBOARD FLASHING WHEN IM TRYING TO START IT! THERE IS NO SOUND WHATSOEVER OF THE ENGINE!

I AM A REAL ENTHUSIAST OF THE RX8 AND I LOVE THE CAR SO MUCH! CAN ANYONE HELP?

What have you done to rule out a dead battery?

chances are your engine is flooded. You could follow the deflooding procedure in your manual, but chances are sinc eyou tried cranking it a few times already, you may have drained your battery too. So I reccomend, charge/jump your car as you try the deflood procedure, or pull the fuel pump fuse, and try then. Do a search in the forum you will see what other people had to do. I personally had to remove the fuel pump fuse, charge the battery, then start the engine.

edit: i just re-read your post, you dont even hear a clicking noise~did you try jumping your car? your engine might not even be flooded. just a dead battery like expo said

first take of the caps locks and calm down. From reading the MANUAL you should have learned that the flashing key is telling you the immobilizer is functioning. that means the car is not recognizing the key you are trying to start it with. hence nostart. first thing you should do is fully charge the battery. then try one(or both) of your other 2 keys and see if they will work.

also its a good idea to NOT spam the forum by posting the same thread in multiple sections. its much easier to keep all the helpful posts in one thread. it will get your answer much quicker and you dont have to remember to look in each of them for answers. i merged the other threads into this one

if it's not your battery try another key.when you bought your car they should have gave you 3keys ,2 with a chip so the car can reconize the key and another that is a 1time start key .try that 1 but i would call the dealership and ask them .remember this is a 1 time use key for this type of an emergency.

Are you asking or are you stating? Is the battery charged or not? Did you try jumping the car?

My car did that to me earlier this month, would not recognize either key. Try the car again later. For whatever reason, 7 hours later, trying the same key, the immobiliser light did not come on and the car started normally.?.

it shouldnt because his immobilizer is not recognizing his key. what he needs to do is get it towed to a dealer who can hook it up to a WDS and fix it- that is his only option and what i told him in reply to his PM THAT I ANSWERED THIS MORNING. which was an exact copy of his next to last post.
