new plugs, new coils, new wires, new battery & wont start on its own
Has anyone experienced this same issue, changed plugs, wires, coils, battery and try to start but it has trouble feels like its clogged, even with the new battery the car floods on me and each time I have to use a jump cause it wont start on its own, when it does start the rpm's struggle and the throttle chuggles a bit but after I floor it to 8,000 rpms the car stays stable at 1000 rpm and it doesnt hazzle, I leave the car on charging the battery allthough new for at least 2 hours, I come back turn it off and try to start it again , and nothing the car wont start on its own, I've switched batteries allthough mines is brand new but eventually nothing helps, plugs, wires, coils , battery are new any one knows what can the issue be ?
Remember when it starts the RPMs struggle if I dont floor it...
I have done the following, engine flush, seafoam, engine loss power recall, reflashed , 4206 recall, and still nothing I seem to solve , any help is appreciated ... Thanks

Momentum Keeps Me Going
Given what you say you've already done, my bet would be you've missed some simple, basic underlying small detail. Step back, take a breather and think about all you've done.
Mostly I'd 1st think about wire connection problems...so...e.g., have your alternator output checked, check if positive battery post crimp is loose from wear even though the bolt is tight, any corrosion at the terminals, failing to push hard enough to 'snap' the plug wires on either the coils or (especially) the plugs (they should make an audible snap noise) completely, wrong plug wires (are they generic or specifically for the 8?), or grounding problems at the battery neg terminal and also
......are you sure you've put the coil wires going to the correct plugs? That an easy mistake to make.
Then there's the possibility that your CAT is clogged as well, for that you'll have to disconnect it to look inside at the core. That's fairly likely as you say you've flooded several times. CATs don't last long when flooded.

all parts are OEM , plugs and wires are placed correctly, as for the ground kit I might think of eliminating it just to see what happens, as for the CAT being clogged ? you got me there never checked it, so I will proceed with that option ... BTW is there a DIY thread that explains in details how to check if the CAT is faulty ?

Then chack the CAT. Here's a story somewhat like yours http://www.rx8web.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3770. There are pics of clogged cat somewhere, just couldn't find them...but basically if you diconnect the CAT at the header and look inside w/flashlight you'll see the CAT material (honeycomb) If there a problem, you'll see it if stright away...it'll be broken up or clogged. What you're looking at is the front CAT "brick" and the one that gets the most abuse and likely to fail.
Also there is no way a ground kit can cause any problems...if it's installed correctly...just make sure all the same (plus other) ground spots are included, and all spots are cleaned and sandapered before reattaching cables to them.

Your cat could still be going bad as well. It is a pain to take off since those bolts almost always brake. I have done it 5 times, and I used PB blaster.

Not sure if you have same issue but i recently replaced coils, plugs and leads. Engine had hard time starting. Found that one of the wires going into the plug that connected to one the L2 coil had not been attached to the metal prong inside the plastic plug. Bit of solder later and all is well. Suggest checking all the wires into the small plastic plugs (3 metal prongs inside) that connect to the coils by pulling on to see if any loose ???
