what intake is it and how on earth do you know it is exactly 25% rich ?

Your supposed to reset your ecu after installing a new part so your ecu can readjust itself to the new air flow.

i went to the madza dealer and they plugged it into the computer they just resetted the ECU and the light is off for now i hope =S

could it be that i need new spark plugs which casue the rich fuel?

Custom intake + RX8 = potential problems if not done correctly.
Tube length, diameter, and screens installed is pretty important.
I honestly don't know AM Performance for RX8 mods so I'm not saying they're bad or inexperienced with RX8s

If the car was fine before the custom intake install, don't try to blame other components like the spark plugs.
Chances are... it could be the intake. Go back to stock and see if its better.

im hearing this whistle comming from around the intake is that normal?

you have an intake leak.

Unmetered air is causing the ecm to richen the mixture.

im going to bring it back to the guy tmr so he can check on it! i hear the whistle noise on top of the suction noise at the air filter =S

The RX8 intake is a cold air intake from the factory.

Check the o-ring under maf sensor.

best I can tell people do it for sound. The intake is already great and cold air. How much higher do you want it to sit lol unless you plan on putting in a roof intake...
