But a new battery in the daughters 2004 "RX8" ( the factory one lasted long time) now the Traction control light is on. Tried the switch acouple of times to try tot trun it off/on but no luck. do i need to take battery loose again to see it that will reset it?

turn the key to acc, turn the wheel all the way to the right, then all the way to the left. turn off car. light gone.

Nope had it off over the weekend to clean the terminals up (6years of inattention). First time that it lit up so will try out the key and will look in the book

This was my first time changing the battery, i got back in, my steering light was on because im an idiot and somehow unplugged the ps harness from the positive terminal, anddd when i plugged it back in, my dash was lit up. i then proceeded on freaking out and came to you guys and yet again you always pull through for me, thanks guys.
