Need some help!
2004 rx8 with around 58k miles, runs on prem fuel only, regular oil changes, had clutch/throwout bearing/pilot bearing replaced, and once in awhile my airbag warning lite will come on but if ya play with wires under passenger seat it corrects. 
Issue 1) Noticed lately that it takes a pretty excessive amounts of cranks to get the engine fired up. Dont matter if its cold or hot always seems to do it. Ive read a few posts about issues with starters and whatnot.. im wondering if i should try anything else before tossing $300+ at a new starter? Plugs/wires? coils?
Issue 2) Around the same time i noticed it does not fire right up like it use to i have noticed when acelerating between gears 1-2-3 that is seems to be a bit hesitant.. not to the extent that it trys to stall or anything just will feel bogged down until i get up into the RPMs (4k+) it will feel like a sudden rush of power. Example: From a stop ill give it a go and it sluggish off the line unless i really rev it up before clutch release, does fine once it gets past 4k but if it drops back down in RPMs when i shift to second it will feel sluggish again until past 4k. and once in a great while it will feel almost jerky
Issue 3) When the engine is cold i will normally fire it up and stand there and smoke a cig while i give it time to warm up before driveing and yesterday i noticed that one of the cooling fans for the radiator will kick on but kick right back off and will repeat over and over again while it sits there and idles... stays on for maybe a second if even that. But i know that when the engine is warm atleast one of the fans runs normal because ive sat and waited for it to kick off before and it ran for a good few mins.
Just got to thinking and putting these 3 issues together and thought maybe they are linked? could possibly have a short someplace causeing a loss in starting power and a loss in power while driveing? Or maybe im wrong and its just 3 maintence issues that i need to take care of.. thats why ive come here!
