Ok guys.. My alternator has a grey plastic cap that covers the Power cable attachment.. Below that is a black piece of plastic between the cap and the alternator.. It's cracked, so Im just wondering what it is for... So far my battery and alternator are fine (voltages are good and so on)....

It's part of the Insulation of the Connector. Replace when it falls completly apart.
