I have an odd problem... made even odder as the car is now running without fault!


Symptoms:Hesitates and produces large blue smoke clouds from the tail pipe when revving quickly


long story short guys my RX is acting up the car has only done this in one afternoon and after leaving for a week as I thought I killed the motor (thought the oil control rings had killed themselves) it is now running just fine with no smoke and all the power in the world!


The scenario went like this

Warmed the car up,
Took it for a good scream out of town,
Pulled over to unload some stuff and let it idle for 5-10mins
left and floored it, car starts hesitating and now looks like a blue smoke bomb went off out the back of my car.
Pulled over, car idles fine no funny grinding or noises
drive it home happens again a few times when accelerating quickly, when smoothly(read slowly) running through the rev range it runs fine but.
Get it home let it sit for 1-2hrs then go start it again... still having the same problems.


after leaving it for a week its now A-Okay?? runs well, starts easy no smoke at all ... I don't know what's up... any suggestions????
