My daughter was coming home from school when she said she was at a stop light and her car just stalled out on her. She had been driving it for 2 hours then this happened. After 10 mins or so she was able to start it and park it in a parking lot. I came to get her, first I noticed she was low on fuel so I filled it up. She said it has been like this before and never had a problem. I checked the oil and it was gooie (sp) white like the car has flooded. It was a little low on oil so I added some. I was able to drive it home but when you gave it gas it made a funny sound when you gave it alot of gas, but never bogged down. I am going to change the oil and filter (this was done 2k ago when it did flood because of cold weather). I know these engines are corky but has anyone had this happen to them?

How low on fuel was the car? Can you deacribe this "funny sound" better? When was the last maintenance (plugs/coils/wires)?

Has she or you read the new owners thread? There are an abundance of threads describing your issues, with many troubleshooting descriptions. How comfortable are you or her with tackling troubleshooting?

The best way to prevent this from happening in the future is to understand at least the basics of the renesis engine
