Manual transmission - problem in traffic jam

I have a problem with a transmission in my RX8. There is a difficulty in engaging gears, while I am stuck in traffic jam, after dynamic ride (high RPMs). In summer this problem is more visible. It concerns especially 1st gear. The longer I am stuck in traffic jam, the more difficult it is to engage a gear. At first, I thought it is a problem with hydraulics (clutch slave cylinder). However, if someone's got some other ideas, I would appreciate it. The transmission itself is in quite bad condition, i.e. 2nd, 4th and 5th gear synchros are worn out - grinding noise while shifting. Transmission fluid change didn't solve the problem.

It's a clutch hydraulics problem, not a transmission problem. There is air in the line somewhere that when the clutch hydraulics heat up is preventing full movement of the clutch and with it partially engaged, it is hard to get it in gear.

Flush your clutch line.

That is a GL4/GL5 oil. GL5, from what I understand, is too slippery for the synchros to work well.

Couple that will heat (cat is next to trans, and will heat it up in traffic) and it is even harder for synchro to work.

I suggest a GL 4 oil, like Redline MT 90 to start with. Um, I have a half GL4 half GL5 load in my trans right now and am planning on switching back. And, if you are planning on changing the oil, make sure you have enough in the bottle on the shelf (the reason I have the problem I have).
