Lucas Upper Cylinder lubricant?

i have a 2005 rx8 (love it with all of my body) and the CEL came on thursday so i took it to auto zone today. it threw a p2096. the dude suggested i add Lucas Upper Cylinder lubricant to my next tank of gas and if the CEL came on again, to bring it back.
has anyone used that Lucas stuff before? their website says it's safe for rotary engines but i'm not 100% sure if i should dump some in my tank.
advice?

Could possibly be a glitch with the O2 sensor, keep an eye on it and if you get the CEL again you may wanna look into it. Lucas UCL is great stuff, totally safe for your tank.

Literally? no.

However, there has been some slight indication of fuel filter problems that pop up and in nearly every one i can remember Lucas UCL has been in use. There is no solid connection, and nothing has ever been proved, but it's really the only thing that says something one way or the other.

I just purchased 5 liters this product for my other cars :PT5 Plus Petrol Treatment (500mL)

I think it should be safe for the RX8 I was worried about the combustion modifier used in the product.
