Jerky accel/decel on all gears/speeds

Hi.

'08 Touring. 6-sp.

This is a little bit hard to actually put in words, but here i go.

Anybody experiencing excessive rubbery jerkiness every time you accelerate or decelerate. I mean the second you depress the accelerator pedal or the second I decelerate, it feels like you are being chain-pulled by another car. It's like a double or triple bounce. It's getting old.

My motor mounts were replaced already because i complained about this, but is still doing it.

Or is it me that I'm too picky on how my car should accel/decel.

Any thoughts?

His description really did make it sound like that, but now we must assume he knows how to drive a stick. I'm thinking what else it really could be????? PRmade..................don't take offense, we didn't(and really still don't) know your exact experience level. Although we now have a much mo betta idea.

it's all 6 gears all speeds. I guess I have to go try a new one to see if there is any difference.
I remember when I had my 1990 GTU, it wasnt like that , of course you get some jerkiness on MT, but this I think is a little excessive to my taste, maybe.

It might be a good idea to go to a dealer and take one for a test drive or find a friend that has one and see. Honestly, I don't feel anymore than I would consider normal and only some when I am in 1st or 2nd, but never bounces......it's just that one small jerk if in high rpm's.

mine definitely bounces, 2-3 times, if you have ever been behind the wheel of a car being pulled by another with a chain or rope, thats the kind of bounce i get.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. Think I would drive another and see if you feel it's the same.
That's a lot of jerk you are describing!!!!!

Did you ever find a solution? I've got the same issue, posted more about it in here: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tro...6/#post4862542

Hi Felix92,

LOL. I forgot I was registered here, I received an email stating someone had replied to my post.
Unfortunately, I do not have the 8 anymore, I never found a solution, I just kept driving it like that, then I traded it for a newer vehicle around 4.5 years ago. Good luck with yours, it quite possibly be issues with the rear diff bushings or something to that extent.
