Headlight level problems

Headlight level problems
I have had some problem with the "auto" leveling of my headlights. I am wondering if other headlights are having similar symptoms.
1. Headlights start at an acceptable level, but around the same time the car has warmed up, the headlights kinda drop a few degrees, say enough to notice.
2. If I start the car, from cold, and the car is parked on uneven ground (engine cold), say in an unpaved lot, the headlights will not stay level and continue to point towards the ground for a few days.
Does anyone have a clear understanding of the level control module? Its not really hard to calibrate the axle sensors, (after inspecting them after reading an earlier post, calibration in American service bulletin to replace sensor harness) but I cannot figure out how to fix this problem.
thanks

Yeah the front sensor is shot, dealer is going to replace it. Strange how it would work fine most of the time but every now and then just point the headlights at the ground. Oh and I have yet to see a error light.
