have a quick question
today i was looking at my 8 because it's not starting and i saw behind the oil filter that there was a hose that was i guess cut and not hooked up to anything, i was just wondering if that is suppose to connect to anything and if so wat? it's behind the oil filter and on top of the trans. thx for the help

Dude did you get a new engine? or have a shop do some work on your car? looks like they cuy a vacuum hose but I dont know where that one comes from only leads to.
I just changed my oil today and cleaned my engine bay. Seen that hose your talking about and posted pix of. I tryed to go out side right now and take a pic but its to dark out.
So I pulled up some pix off my cd that I found online back in 2007.

thx man...and no i haven't taken it to i shop in a long time...just found it like that the other day, so idk if it happened since i bought the car or if the owner before me had it happen

How long have you had this car for?
In your first post you said the car is "not starting". This might have something to do with that.

Well... i don't know what the hose is... but I will say that it does not look like a fresh cut, so I don't think it is related to your stsarting issues unless the hose slipped off of something... but someone else will probably be able to tell you more than I will. But again, I don't think this is related to your starting issues.
