Might be the vacuum hose used for the Air, SSV, and VDI solenoids and connects under the intake manifold extension.

I'll guess red, green, or blue came loose................given where he saw the hose.

I got ya right here man.
Dude did you get a new engine? or have a shop do some work on your car? looks like they cuy a vacuum hose but I dont know where that one comes from only leads to.
I just changed my oil today and cleaned my engine bay. Seen that hose your talking about and posted pix of. I tryed to go out side right now and take a pic but its to dark out.
So I pulled up some pix off my cd that I found online back in 2007.
See attachments one and tow.

How long have you had this car for?
In your first post you said the car is "not starting". This might have something to do with that.
How has your 8 been running before?

Well... i don't know what the hose is... but I will say that it does not look like a fresh cut, so I don't think it is related to your stsarting issues unless the hose slipped off of something... but someone else will probably be able to tell you more than I will. But again, I don't think this is related to your starting issues.

I'd have to agree at this point, but one never knows. It's still kinda hard for us(me) to see where exactly it's coming from.
