Glowing cat

My car is beginning to smell pretty bad after romping so I looked underneath last night after a "spirited" drive and I noticed the cat glowing through the heat shield. I've already read up on the cause, warranty replacement etc but I was just wondering if it would be worth it to get a higher flowing cat. I know that they are mostly universal which kind of sketches me out. Would it be worth it or should I just see if they will replace it under warranty?

Cheers

go for warranty first.
then you can sell the stock cat and get a highflow.

If its under warranty and you are fine with the stock cat, go get the free one. If you want somethign that flows a little better, buy a decent high flow cat. Honestly I'd go get the free new one either way, then you have a new one in the garage incase you want to go back to stock later.

Or you could go the full distance and get the max power gains from a catless midpipe. Keep the new stock cat for emissions tests.
